Instructors: Lin, Kung-HsuanªL®c¥È

Class hour: Monday 14:20-17:20

Classroom: P101 Meeting Room, IF of Institute of Physics, AS

Introduction:

Basic concepts of wave optics, nonlinear optics, and fiber optics. Practices to write short articles of popular science for applications in the field of laser/optics.

  1. The aim of this course is to guide the students to learn the latest development in the field of laser/optics in the future.
  2. Familiar with discussions/presentation in English.

It is recommended to finish university level courses of "General Physics", "Applied or Engineering Mathematics", and ¡§Electromagnetics." However, it is not required for strongly self-motivated one since all the basis for this book can be easily found online sources such as Wikipedia.
